Partnership Covenant

What this is: The pledge you and your accountability partner make to each other in Session 1, and carry for all twelve weeks. Read it, mean it, then sign it together as brothers.

Brotherhood Accountability Covenant

"Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another." — Proverbs 27:17 (RSV-2CE)

We, the undersigned, commit to each other as accountability partners for the duration of this twelve-week study on The Bible and the Virgin Mary.

Recognizing that we are called to be spiritual leaders of our families and defenders of the faith, we make the following commitments to each other.

Our seven commitments

  1. Weekly contact. We will text, call, or meet at least once between sessions. We will not let a week pass without connecting.
  2. Daily prayer. We will pray for each other by name every day, asking the Blessed Mother to intercede for our brother's spiritual growth, his leadership at home, and his protection from the enemy.
  3. Honest conversation. We will speak the truth in charity (Ephesians 4:15). If we see our brother drifting, struggling, or making excuses, we will challenge him in love — not to condemn, but to call him higher.
  4. Sacred confidentiality. What is shared between us stays between us. We will not gossip or repeat our brother's struggles — except where there is danger to life or safety, which we report to the facilitator or priest immediately.
  5. Mutual accountability. We will hold each other to the commitments we make each session. We will ask the hard questions: Did you do what you said you'd do? What got in the way? How can I help?
  6. Mercy and grace. We will not judge each other. We are both learning, both struggling, both growing. When one of us falls, the other helps him up (Ecclesiastes 4:10).
  7. Mission-focused. Our partnership is not just friendship — it is about becoming the men God calls us to be: better husbands, fathers, disciples, and defenders of the faith.

Our prayer for each other

Lord Jesus, thank You for my brother. Strengthen him in his weakness. Protect him from the enemy. Give him courage to lead his family in faith. Make him a man of integrity, wisdom, and holiness. Blessed Mother, intercede for him — cover him with your mantle of protection. St. Michael, defend him in spiritual battle. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Signature note: When you print this page, both partners sign and date it, and your facilitator signs as witness. By signing, you commit to this covenant for the full twelve weeks.
